Dinner with Friends is a tragi-comedy series of six episodes following Clive ‘Brick’ Murphy, a gentle, unflappable optimist, as he tests his self-designed prototype website, Dinner With Friends, to eat dinner with strangers from around the world.
Each episode revolves around Brick meeting a new stranger for a ‘virtual dinner’. As Brick slowly comes to terms with his grief over the death of his mother over the course of the series, at its heart, Dinner with Friends is a show about the small, fleeting connections that add up to something beautiful; that the whole is bigger than the sum of its parts.
Dinner with Friends was shot during lockdown using iPhones and minimal cast/crew contact as a way to capture a moment in time. It is written and directed by Adelaide filmmakers Lucy Campbell and Claire Bishop, produced by creative producer Matt Byrne, and starring Nathan O’Keefe (A Sunburnt Christmas, Deadline Gallipoli).

OUR PLACE is a four-part television series that tells the story of everyday life in the (fictional) remote Aboriginal community of Alangkwa Valley. Alangkwa Valley, (Bush Banana Valley) is located 100 kms from Alice Springs with around 300 predominantly Arrernte and Warlpiri people
‘Our Place’ presents a humorous and dramatic insight into the everyday life of Aboriginal Australians in remote communities. There are stories about school attendance, the perils of wrong skin love and the difficulties in staying “off the grog”. Produced along the lines of a telenovela, OUR PLACE has a struck a chord with Indigenous viewers in remote Australia.
Written and directed by local Indigenous media makers, Warren H Williams and Micha Bartlett, the series features an impressive all Indigenous cast of local talent and was shot in Amoonguna and Alice Springs in 2015, and was broadcast on ICTV in 2016.
Over 100 Indigenous Australians were engaged during the development and production of OUR PLACE in a variety of roles including storytelling workshops, writers, directors, actors and in crew roles.
OUR PLACE was produced primarily with funding support from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet who saw an opportunity to tell positive stories about Indigenous life in remote Australia.
