This week, The Melbourne Wrestling Show concludes (hopefully for a while) its current run of showcasing best ofs by placing the spotlight on the one and only Disappointing Deviant Josh Redfield and by showcasing the rise that he had experienced across 2024-25 that saw him really come into his own for the first time in his 13 year long career as a Professional Wrestler. On The Making Of A Disappointing Deviant edition of The Melbourne Wrestling Show:
– We return to the very first night of MXW’s WrestleFest from early last year to re-highlight the high-stakes match that saw Redfield go one-on-one with The Golden Child Nate Hunter in a match that had a spot in the annual multi-man MXW Ascend Championship Ladder Match the very next night up for grabs (Winner is added to MXW Ascend Championship Ladder Match the next night, MXW WrestleFest Night 1, Feb 28th 2025)
– Our second contest will see us take a look back at the beginning of Redfield’s run in the early stages of the revival of Alpha Pro Wrestling back in 2024 when he was, at the time, solely just a member of Alpha’s developmental brand, Alpha Energy, when he went one-on-one in an Alpha Energy Cup Qualifier against King Cuda, The Illest JP Bamford (Alpha Energy 1, Feb 10th 2024)
– And in the main event of The Making Of A Disappointing Deviant edition of The Melbourne Wrestling Show, we re-highlight quite possibly THE crowning moment that would tell the entire scene that Redfield was more than just the sidekick, the tag-team wrestler as he met The Loose Ledge Adam Brooks & then-Adrenaline Professional Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion The Yung Goat Kobe Reid in a Triple Threat Match with the Adrenaline Professional Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship at stake (Triple Threat For The APW World Heavyweight Championship, APW Never In Your Wildest Dreams V, Dec 14th 2025)
