When Kade Matthews found sport, he realised he wanted to spread the joy and benefits of participating in sport with others of our community, and as the Proud 2 Play Community Development Officer, is able to assist clubs, to be able to offer, and individuals, to be able to participate in, safe and inclusive community sport.

Kade is all about making sports and recreation more inclusive for LGBTQI+ communities, focusing on breaking down barriers and fostering lasting change in the broader sports community’s approach to diversity and inclusion, placing a strong emphasis on community engagement, understanding that the most meaningful progress comes from collaborating with those directly impacted by exclusion.
