Andrea Kelly is the Interim First Nations Aged Care Commissioner, a proud Warumungu and Larrakia woman, with a 30 plus year career in the Australian Public Service (APS), is particularly proud of the work she did in education, early years, and childcare, and was instrumental in the design and establishment of the Territories Stolen Generations Redress Scheme.
As Interim First Nations Aged Care Commissioner, Andrea has led public consultations with First Nations stakeholders and communities on the design and functions of the permanent Commissioner, contributed to the changes necessary to bring improvements for First Nations people across all tiers of the aged care system, and advocated for culturally safe aged care for First Nations people across Australia.
