This episode we hit the dirt and explore 2 epic natural wonders in Outback Queensland, Cobbold Gorge and Undara Lava Tubes. We say goodbye to Karumba and travel 450km to Cobbold Gorge in the heart of the Savannah Gulf region.
A private property opened to the public to experience the ancient landscape and spectacular beauty of this outback location, Cobbold Gorge offers guided tours and various styles of accommodation including powered and unpowered camping. The Gorge Tour is world class and showcases the incredible landscape and unique Aussie wildlife that call this environment home including freshwater crocodiles, and includes the newly installed glass bottom bridge, not for the faint hearted!
Then we travel 230km further east and set up camp at Undara Experience, now owned and operated by Discovery Parks. We pack in the adventure with 2 tours of the incredible and ancient lava tubes, the Archway Explorer and Wildlife at Sunset.
This is such a fascinating environment, with access to the Undara Volcanic National Park only available to those staying onsite or booked on one of their many tours.
