What does real inclusion actually look like?
In this abiliTV episode, we look at what happens when disabled people are given genuine opportunities, not just visibility.
Sydney autistic model Kai McGrath is building a career in fashion and advertising, but he wants brands to go further than the occasional disability campaign. For Kai, real representation means being booked, paid and
seen in mainstream campaigns alongside everyone else.
We also meet Corrina, whose story with SYC shows what inclusive employment can look like when employers focus on a person’s strengths, skills and what they can genuinely contribute in the workplace.
And to finish the show, MC Wheels reunites with fellow Headliners musician Mikky Whalan. Mikky has performed at the Sydney Opera House, Tamworth and Mundi Mundi, and joins us to talk about music, his Headliners experience and his latest work before performing live in the studio.
Because real inclusion isn’t simply about inviting people in. It’s about recognising talent, paying people fairly, providing the right support and creating opportunities to grow.
