Dr Danielle Stefanski is an Infectious Diseases and General Physician, HIV clinician, medical educator and advisor, with a childhood realised passion for music that has been a source of comfort and connection throughout her life.
Publicly announcing her transition in April 2022, Danielle is an advocate for gender-affirming care and the rights of trans individuals in healthcare and employment, whose diverse background that includes being a professional violinist and working in global health, is dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities faced by marginalized communities, with personal experience from countries like Botswana, that provided significant insights into the challenges encountered accessing safe and effective medical care.
