Joe Ball, a proud transgender man, was appointed as The Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities in 2024, for a three-year term.
Joe explains how growing up in Queensland played a significant role in his early life, how this impacted him, and being uncomfortable with gender from a very early age.
Commissioner Joe Ball then explains the process which lead to his appointment, and his agenda, which includes advocating for currently funded organisations to remain so, ensuring we keep and defend what we currently have recognising that Victoria has organisations which the rest of the world look at with envy, and appreciating the incredible people that he meets.
