Tonight, we present guests Elizabeth Anya-Petrivna, from The National Trust, and photographer creative Gerard O’Connor, who with others, have collaborated to create an exhibition called – PARTY HARD, After The Party.
The National Trust of Australia (Victoria) (NTAV) is a community-based heritage advocacy organisation, protecting and conserving places of heritage significance, BUT did you know they also have clothing collections.
As they introduce themselves, Elizabeth and Gerard’s respective passioned career paths lead to this collaboration, which they call a glittering ode to what survives after the music stops, exploring celebration across time, from Edwardian gatherings to the first Sydney Mardi Gras, to today’s queer clubs, with the garments as witness.
We were not provided photographs of the exhibited clothing, while acknowledging that to experience an items history, along with any present imperfections – from another time, is possibly best to be experienced – in person – when possible.
The National Trust’s – PARTY HARD, After The Party – Dates: 5 Feb 2026 ‐ 28 Mar 2026 (Free)
