David Hunt interviews Paul Scott-Williams, the recently appointed CEO of Joy Media, Australia’s not-for-profit LGBTIQA+ media organisation.
Paul shares his journey growing up in rural New South Wales to leading a prominent media organisation, including his beginnings as a 10-year-old gig singer, leaving school at 17 to arrive in Sydney the next day to begin rehearsals, living independently in London at the age of 21, performing at some of the prestigious venues of Europe, before his eventual return to Australia.
After a successful career in music education and performance, Paul took on the role of CEO at a NSW Regional Conservatorium, that provide music education, training, performance, and community engagement opportunities in regional areas of New South Wales, and now at the helm of Joy Media, is excited about the possibilities.
