This week we camp up in Opalton and meet a REAL LIFE opal hunter! Plus we stay in the cheapest campground ever! It’s time to hit the dirt for a 2 hour road trip south of Winton in Outback Queensland.
Opalton is somewhere we’ve always wanted to visit, and the lure of finding our fortune has us excited and eager to explore! We set up camp at the Opalton Bush Camp, the cheapest campground ever!
And spend some time with an old timer miner, getting shown the ropes and the secret opal hunting sites!
After one of the best off grid nights we’ve ever spent, it’s off to Longreach for a much awaited experience, the Qantas Founder’s Museum Wing Walk on the Boeing 747-200!
