We’ve hit the road and have left the ocean behind, making our way to the WEST – South West Queensland Outback Australia Road Trip First stop is Chinchilla, in Queensland’s Western Downs, where we set up camp on the banks of Charley Creek at a fantastic privately owned campground called Clover Hill Ranch.
We spend a few days exploring the region, including a selfie at the Big Melon, fossicking for petrified wood, and have some fun at the world class Botanic Parklands. We also check out the best council operated free camp we’ve ever seen, the boys get creative with some wonderful nature play, and Paul shares a great tip for securing your awning in soft ground conditions.
Then it’s on to Roma to take in a great night time experience at the Big Rig!
