The Future of Disability Storytelling Is Here and It’s Powerful

21 minutes

The episode begins with an exclusive preview of Changing Track, a non-fiction drama that follows three para-cyclists whose lives were transformed by sport.

Through their candid reflections, the film reveals how trauma, disability and
unexpected life events can alter a person’s path and how community, passion and purpose can help anyone “change track” toward hope and momentum.

Continuing the exploration of lived-experience storytelling, the episode introduces award-winning journalist, author and disability advocate Zoe Simmons, whose work has been published around the world. Through her commitment to raw, emotionally resonant writing, Zoe demonstrates how authentic narratives can reshape public perception and drive meaningful change.

The episode concludes with a moving profile of musician and songwriter Sonny Glen, who rediscovered his love of music after facing significant mental and physical challenges.
