Episode 763: The Neeley Family Distillery – Bootlegging, Guns & Fast Cars

25 minutes

Fletch crosses back through to the Bluegrass region of Sparta Kentucky, to bring you a never seen before on Classic Restos in sight, of The Neeley Family Distillery, dating back to the mid 1700’s.

This amazing family timeline of heritage encapsulates the history of making Shine, running Shine, and all of the complications along the way. What you are about to see here, could go down as the most unique Distillery, with stories attached, in the world.

Time to meet Royce & Rebekah Neeley. Royce is eleventh generation and with his Father Roy, has created this beautiful distillery. Since 2015 – this is the first distillery in the family to run clean – and that means paying the Taxes and becoming a professional retail outlet, for the crafted booze that is made on location.

See the stills, see how Bourbon is made, then of course Fletch interviews Royce about some of the cars used in the bootlegging periods by his Father, and Grand Daddy’s before him. This is truly a unique episode, and only showcasing on Classic Restos.
