Episode 759: The Swigart Museum

22 minutes

Through the rolling countryside of Pennsylvania, crossing part of the grueling Appalachian Mountain range, takes us to Huntington – home of the Swigart Museum – the oldest automobile museum in the United States of America. It may not be the largest museum, but it holds the original legacy to Mr. William Swigart, founder of the museum back in 1920.

This exclusive footage by Fletch, showcases the emphasis of an automobile museum that was concepted just barely two decades after the beginning of gasoline powered engines placed into cars. With this incredible in-sight, Mr. Swigart obviously knew that the automobile preceded a massive following…and unknown to him, a following to continue well over 100 years later.

See an interview with Pat Swigart, the Widow of the late Mr. William Swigart the second. This amazing, compact museum is home to rare & varied makes. Such as a 1903 Curved Dash Oldsmobile, a 1936 Duesenberg Prototype, and a 1948 Tucker #1013 of 51 produced…and these are barely the tip of the iceberg. This and more awaits you, in this special episode as Fletch crosses part of the United States of America 2025, brought to you by Shannons.
