Aileron, Barrow Creek, Daly Waters & Mataranka
In Episode Eight, Matt leaves Alice Springs behind and hits the open road, with a roadhouse-hopping adventure along the Stuart Highway. His first stop is Aileron, home to towering statues and classic outback charm, before making his way to Barrow Creek, where he gets further insight into the legendary ‘Bull-Shit Burger’ and soaks in the stories of this historic roadhouse.
Continuing north, Matt pulls into Daly Waters, a roadhouse famed for its quirky décor, live music, and a fair share of outback hospitality. The journey wraps up in Mataranka, where he meets world record whip-cracker Nathan “Whippy” Griggs for a lesson in the art of whip-cracking. This episode is chock-a-block!
